TECHNOLOGY OF JOINTS REPAIR
Sealing of joints in the house consists of several
steps, the quality of each of which depends on the quality of the final result. High-quality sealing
expansion joints requires opening them.
Consider repair of joints of panels with opening
step by step.
The described sealing of joints in panel houses is called "Warm Joint". Its main
difference from the previously used is the application of a layer of heat protection foam in the
base of the joint.
Such repair of joints in panel houses has passed many tests and has long been
successfully used all over the world and by our specialists.
Sealing of joints in the
house in stages:
1) Preparatory measures before carrying out the repair of joints. Conclude in the
preparation of surfaces and include:
- cleaning of
surfaces from paint, dirt, peeling of panels;
- Removal of old insulation, sealant;
- expanding cracks.
- Cleaning and sealing of joints in the houses is performed either manually or
mechanically. The surfaces of interpanel joints shall be in dry condition before the beginning of
works.
2) Filling of interpanel joints with thermally insulating polyurethane foam. During
curing, the foam expands, filling the existing voids inside the joint.
3) Installation of
insulation "Vilaterm". "Vilaterm" - insulation, which has the form of hollow tubes. It is widely
used when repairing joints in panel houses. It is elastic, has a dense structure, very easy to work
with.
Insulation is laid on the not yet frozen layer of foam. Insulation in diameter should be
larger by 20-30% of the width of the interpanel joint.
"Vilaterm" is laid in the interpanel joint without
tearing along the entire length, so that there is room to apply sealant over the
insulation.
4) Final finishing sealing of joints with sealing mastic. This is the final stage of work on
sealing the joints of panel houses or repairing the interpanel joints.
Sealing of external
seams of the house at this stage is carried out with water-repellent sealant, which covers the
already laid insulation.
At this stage, sealing of interpanel joints, i.e. repair of joints (or caulking
of panel houses) is completed!
The temperature range for the work performed on sealing the joints
between the panels of the house: from -10 ° C to +30 ° C. In addition, caulking of exterior house
joints should not be carried out in the presence of precipitation: snow or rain, as the sealing of joints may not last
long.
